    …..the curse is o…ver. Cheese was ri..ght be…fore my eyes…. Okay maybe those aren’t the original lyrics, but I’m just so happy I have to sing about it.

      I have achieved cheese! The re-do mozzarella class went off without a hitch. Connie, who hadn’t made it to the first class was there. We divided the curd in half. I stretched one to show her how it works. She took the reins with the other. We made a beautiful mozzarella from goat …

      Amy Matthew from the Pueblo Chieftain came by a couple of weeks ago to interview us about the farm. I’d met her several times when I was a regional correspondent working the Trinidad/Walsenburg beat. She’s a doll. So friendly and so curious about what we’re doing here. The article is wonderful. Our Mom’s are so proud!

      I can’t believe it’s been a year since we bought this farm. So many things have happened. So many things have changed. But, one thing has remained constant. Our belief in a more sustainable lifestyle.

      Given the state of our economy, we are more committed to this way of life than ever before. And relieved that we have created as much security for ourselves as we have.

      We have access to water, a huge thriving garden, goats …

    Oh my, they’ve been gone way too long.

    Marley and Wisdom flew out to see their Dad and step-mom more than a month ago. That’s the longest they’ve ever been away. They’re coming home on Monday. I can’t wait! I’ve been working on their rooms, bringing in new furniture (new to us) and painting the old stuff to be coordinated. I think they’ll really be surprised.
