Well actually our new friend and great photographer Katie Sullivan took them last week at our farm tour.   So a big thanks goes out to her and the wonderful new photos.  Enjoy!

Farm tour

Young and old, families with children, media and even our CSU extension agent came out for a couple hour tour of our micro farm.

I was expecting a handful of people but we ended up with around 70.  We had cars parked down the street.  Very exciting.

This is what our farm is all about: empowering others to start or expand raising their own food.  We were so happy with the turn out and had a great time.

Thanks again to everyone that came out and a big thanks again to Tisha Casida for getting us the grant to do this and for basically putting on the whole show!

pasture raised hogs just taste better.

We just got our new weaner pigs from the breeder.  They are just too cute and will taste delicious in a couple of months.

Order yours now because we always sell out.  We sell them as whole or half hogs and they should be ready in late Fall.  They are all raised naturally on our pasture and fed mostly food from our farm.

We will have a tour of our entire farm (free lunch is included)

This will be a great time to bring the whole family out to our microfarm to see how we do everything.

One of our goals is to show people how much they can actually grow on any amount of land.   If you have a small back yard in town or 100 acres you can grow your own food.  It is fun and empowering!

August 7th farm tour

It has been awhile since we wrote on this blog and that is because our farmer market season has begun and there just isn’t a lot of extra time.
Here is a couple of things real quick.
1. We are updating our online shopping system (you can see the start of it here. Very soon we will have all of our soaps online as well as whatever veggies are in ready for that week. We’ll have other stuff too so make sure you check it often.

2.
We are at the following farmer markets.
Wednesday -
America the Beautiful Park, Colorado Springs – 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Thursday in Pueblo at the Art Center starting in July.

Saturday -
6th & Macon Avenue in front of the Library and Arts Centers, Canon City - 8 am to 1 pm
